Progress!

Well, at the doctor's appointment last week, we found out that my blood pressure is up slightly...it is 122/90, which is high for me, and the doctor is a little concerned. He has decided to induce labor on Monday, October 19th! I was dilated 3cm that day. Very exciting, but that just means lots to do and little time to do it. Today, mom came over and helped re-do the nursery to make it more girlish! We put up a new border, curtains, bedding, and pictures for the walls. It was fun and turned out beautifully!

Yesterday was my last day of work for a little while. I will probably go back mid-December. It's nice to have a little break, but I know the next 8 weeks or so will not be so relaxing. I'm going to do my best to enjoy it though, since this will be our last child.

Thursday night when we were getting ready for bed, I went in Blake's room to turn off his (very bright) basketball night light. He was laying there awake, just kind of staring into space. I tried to sneak back out before he saw me, but it was too late. He started crying...more whimpering actually. So, I went back in there to see what was wrong with him. He says to me, "Mama...you take my temperature?" I was floored! I felt him and he did feel warm, so I went and go the thermometer and checked him, and sure enough, he had a temp. (told you he was a smart kid!). It was a bit of a rough night that night, mostly for Tom, since he was so good about being up with him, trying to let me get some rest. Then on Friday, Mary called and said he was running a fever, so I ended up coming home at noon for the day to take care of him. He seemed better, but the temp spiked again after his nap. He was fine the rest of the night and this morning, but it again spiked around lunchtime today, and then not at all this afternoon. We are thinking it's just his teeth, but there were two other sick kids at daycare this week. One who just had a fever for a day, and the other who is home sick with the flu the last two days. So....we are REALLY hoping it's just his two year molar's trying to sneak in.

Well.....only two more nights of sleep.....or potential sleep...depending on how Blake does. That is the thing I'm most nervous about...is getting by on so little sleep again. But I know that I will adjust, especially with Tom's help. Surely couldn't do it without him. He is going to be off for almost two weeks to be home and help me out, so that will be nice. Before we know it, the holidays will be here.

Excited to say that I have reached my scrapbooking goal - of being caught up before Cora's arrival. I cut it pretty close though, just finished the last page tonight!! Doing some digital scrapbooking has surely helped! I'm really going to try to keep this blog updated better than I have, because I know milestones will be happening like crazy with the two kids, and it's hard to remember to document it all.

That's all for now....wish me luck!!
