Yikes, I knew it had been awhile since my last post, but didn't realize it had been a few weeks!
Let's see....what's new?
Well, we had our first doctor's appointment on 3/16. Everything went well and Dr. Hartman gave me the due date of October 29th which is exactly what I had come up with, which puts me about 8 weeks along. We then had to go back to Port Huron on Friday, March 20th for an ultrasound. Dr. Hartman likes to do that early on just to make sure there is a baby there, a heartbeat, and that there is only one baby! Everything came out just like that...one baby with a strong heartbeat of 180. So, we feel much better after that appointment!
I really can't complain too much. I've been feeling great, hardly feeling sick at all. Just VERY, VERY tired. Tom even commented that he doesn't remember me being this tired the first time. When we get home at night, we eat, give Blake a bath, and I'm on the couch by 6:30/7:00 and sleep for 1-2 hours before going to bed. Then I still go to bed around normal time (10:00), and manage to sleep (hard) all night. I guess that is the best thing for me right now. Thank goodness for Tom, he gets up with Blake since Blake hasn't been sleeping too well lately. The time change has really thrown off his schedule. He used to sleep religiously from 7-6. Now he's sleeping from 8-7 and usually wakes up somewhere in there, but not for too long. He is also only napping about once a day, anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours. Not long enough - when all I want to do is sleep!!
Blake has been talking a lot lately. He indicates if things are "hot" or "cold", usually he's right on, but when he eats he seems to thing that everything is "hot". He also LOVES to go outside. There have been a few nice days (not enough) where we've gotten outside and taken him for wagon rides, and just let him run around the yard. I can tell this summer will be fun - hopefully we can keep up with him!
Tom has set a new goal...When I was pregnant with Blake he wanted to lose 50lbs before Blake was born. He did it....just two days before Blake arrived! This time around, he would like to lose about 20 pounds which would put him at 220. He has already lost about 5. He's working very hard on the elliptical and eating better. He's doing a great job. Too bad all I want to do is eat everything in site!!
All for now....I will post the ultrasound pictures next!
